Pet Carriers for Vet Visits

Who This Is Best For

This range is built around short, occasional vet trips rather than long days out, so it suits any pet with a routine check-up, vaccination, or unplanned appointment ahead. It's especially worth considering for cats and small dogs who tense up at the sight of a carrier, since top access and a calmer, more enclosed design can make the whole experience noticeably less of a battle to manage. For smaller dogs specifically, our small dog carriers range includes several models suited to quick, secure trips, while our cat carriers range and small animal carriers range cover the same short-journey needs for cats, rabbits, and other small pets.

What to Look For

• Top-loading access. A carrier that opens from the top lets a vet lift your pet out gently without the awkward angle of a front-only door, which matters more than it sounds.
• Secure, easy-to-check zips or latches, so there's no risk of a pet pushing their way out in a busy waiting room.
• A wipeable or removable interior liner, since accidents happen more often on unfamiliar trips and a carrier that's simple to clean afterwards saves a lot of hassle.
• A more enclosed feel rather than lots of open mesh, which suits pets who prefer a den-like space over a fully open one.

None of this makes a vet visit anyone's favourite outing, but a well-designed carrier makes the practical side of getting there and back considerably easier. Browse the range below, and if your pet is on the nervier side, look at the calmer, more enclosed designs first rather than the most ventilated ones.
