Everyday Pet Carriers

Who This Is Best For

This range suits owners who use a carrier often rather than occasionally, where the priorities shift from specialist features towards general reliability, comfort and ease of use. It's a sensible starting point if you're buying your first carrier and aren't yet sure which specialist style, such as a backpack or sling, will suit your routine best. Our small dog carriers range covers a good spread of everyday-friendly options sized for smaller breeds, and if you'd prefer something lighter and easier to fold away between uses, our soft-sided pet carriers range is generally the more practical everyday choice over a rigid shell.

What to Look For

• A manageable weight when empty, since you'll be carrying both the pet and the carrier itself on a regular basis.
• A shoulder strap and carry handle together, so you can switch grip on a longer errand rather than being stuck with one option.
• Simple, quick-access closures, ideally something you can open and close one-handed while managing a lead or shopping bags.
• Durable, easy-clean fabric that can handle frequent use without the seams or zips wearing out within a few months.

An everyday carrier doesn't need to do everything brilliantly, it just needs to do the basics reliably, trip after trip.
